Traces of a possibility: Reflections for a Weak Psychology

Abstract

In general, we can classify the psychological practice in two main blocks. On the one hand, Psychology as its representation in society, like a scientific activity of applicable, useful and profitable knowledge. On the other hand, as a critic and auto-critic perspective, a way of thinking the Psychology that contrast with the first classification, in which actions do not emphasized in capitalize results. The purpose of this reflection is to trace general lines about this Psychology, that we call “weak”, a possibility in the middle of a predominant and prevailing “psychological complex”, where several practice are legitimize in a mercantilist, health/illness model. This manuscript is an invitation to reflect about the current psychology tasks, in which we present psychology as a liberating intellectual movement, and not as submission movement.
