Abstract

In this article we describe three types of conditioned responses of the ocular movement as a function of visual perceptual constancies, drawing points on a polygraph paper and presenting them at a determined speed. The different experimental situations allow the analysis of the appropiateness o f the words “association” and “configuration” to those and other situations of conditioning. This analysis is made in the context of application of the pavlovian conditioning paradigm to the explanation of perceptual behaviour. We also emphasise the advantages of the afore mentioned procedures with a view tooffering an alternative explanation to those which are normally given when we talk about the perception of movement.
