Approaches to women’s struggle in autonomic communitarian experiences
Abstract
In this article, I analize the women’s role in the autonomic communitarian experiences, particularly in the case of the Municipio Autónomo de Cherán K’eri, in the State of Michoacán, Mexico. I report the superposition between the prehispanic patriarchal systems, which were duals, and the more excludents colonial and binary practices. I expose, on the one hand, the women’s participation difficulties for take part in the communitarian governments and, in the other, their advances as part of the active resistances of these peoples. Keywords
