Stresses and strains on relations of power in feminist research with Narratives Productions
Abstract
In this paper I examine from a reflective approach the methodological difficulties involved in collaborative research that are committed to building a collective knowledge. Based on an ongoing investigation I expose some of the tensions on power relations between researcher and participants emerged in the field of research. Based on a feminist and intersectional perspective I develop three proposals through which the Narratives Productions counteract the power relations that exist in any investigation a) the agency and negotiation of participating in the construction of narratives, b) consideration of Narratives Productions as theoretical starting points c) dialogue and mutual transformation between researcher and researched people. Finally I propose the reflexivity of discomfort as a key to live ethical and politically tensions and uncertainties that arise in the process of research practice. Keywords
