Abstract
We present an approach to situations and current issues of Indigenous Peoples in Argentina, from a psycho-social perspective. In the first section we located some cases, especially indigenous communities of Patagonia and North regions- to account for the realities experienced since the last decades. In the second section we mention some points of the recient history of psychology in the study of indigenous communities, realizing space vacancy little attention, but also include a work that analyzes from the Community Social Psychology the constructions of identities, memories and knowledge in a mapuche community. Finally, we share some reflections to rethink the ethical and political implications in relation to indigenous groups and communities.
