The Development of Childhood Psychopathology in the Nineteenth Century
Abstract
This is a study of development of Child Psychopathology throughout the nineteenth century and covers three periods:1. The contribution of french psychiatrists in the field of mental.retardation (Falret, Voisin, Ferrus) and the pedagogy of defcient (Delasiauve, Vallée, Seguin, Bourneville).
2. The progressive differentiation of the scientific contents and the appearance of chapters on Child Psychopathology in the general work of Psychiatry and Pediatry (GRIESINGER, 1845; WEST, 1854; MAUDSLEY, 1867).
3. The publication of the first monographic texts on Child Psychopatology (FILIBILIU, 1887; EMMINGHAUD, 18,87; MOREAU DE TOURS,1888). News of the first autochtonus text on the subject (VIDAL PERERA, 1907). The publication of specific theses on Child Psychiatry.
