Analysis of the Placebo Effect

Abstract

In the scope of Health, in spite of the useless or intrinsic danger of many therapeutic agents or strategies, un appreciable number of professional interventions are followed for patient's improvement. Evidence for a placebo effect is supplied by historical, anthropological,

sociological and psychological research. A better knowledge of the placebo effect through experimental investigations may lead us to a new model of Health services more human, efficient and inexpensive.
