The Political Effects of Social Psychology
Abstract
The classical point of view concerning the relations between social psychology and politics is submitted to a close analysis. A new way of formulating this relationship is suggested on the grounds of the intrinsically socio-political character of social psychology. The analysis of the political effects which are produced by psychosociological theorization and praxis leads to a reconsideration of the kind of knowledge which is produced by social-psychologists. This reconsideration is based on an analogical application of Heisenberg's principie of indetermination.
