Sexual violence against women: phenomenological dialogue
Abstract
Sexual violence against women is one of the most prevalent factors in contemporary times. The realization of violence, the act itself, is experienced under the most diverse nuances and carried out by strangers or by very close people. The aim of this study was to understand the existence of women subjected to this type of violence at different stages of life, from childhood to adulthood. It is a qualitative research and used the phenomenological method of research in psychology from an audio interview recorded with 05 women and an analysis based on Heideggerian thinking. The following categories were elaborated: The violent act occurs: at the mercy of the violator; Experienced feelings and sensations; To speak or not to speak to the family: difficult decision; Coping experience: overcoming. It is concluded that in view of the magnitude of the act, the pain and suffering suffered were overcome, making it possible to continue the walk. Keywords
