Abstract

Social psychology in Latin America has developed through time in a critical line or a series of paths we could call “critics”, which have had the fundamental interest in getting to know concrete practices, with the objective of solving local problems, and getting to understand the singularity of Latin American people. This comes to a thinking tradition which is born with Latin America, and it involves five centuries of history. That Social Psychology which assumes itself as critic, is written in my point of view according to this tradition of thought. In this paper, I intend to show elements that proof that this supposition is accurate and I intend to contribute in a way that I consider necessary: the historical analysis of social psychology in Latin America due to the different critics
