Abstract

This article analyses the journal “Cuadernos de Psicología (Psychology Notebooks)” that appeared in 1975. It is the second specialized psychology publication linked to a Spanish university along with “Análisis y Modificación de la Conducta (Behaviour Analysis and Modification)” that appeared in the same year, following the 1969 publication of “Anuario de Psicología (Psychology Annual)”. “Cuadernos de Psicología (Psychology Notebooks)” can be considered the organ of the Department / Section of Psychology at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB) that should be divided into two stages: a) from 1975 to 1977 and b) 1979 to 1985. Seven numbers that correspond to the first stage and 12 to the second were published during this period with a total of 134 articles (34 in the first and 100 in the second). We also mention a number that appeared 5 years later in 1990, the year the journal was finally abandoned. The analysis offers a summary of the dominant themes that were addressed. This allows us to see the interests of the first UAB psychology and its influences, as well as the most productive authors of that period.
